Lukashenko authorizes reciprocal sanctions


MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.128 on applying special measures on 30 March, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.
The document has been passed for the sake of ensuring security and protecting national interests of the Republic of Belarus.
The decree provides for prohibiting the import of certain categories of merchandise and the import of services provided by natural persons and legal persons of the countries that have resorted to special measures (sanctions) against Belarusian corporations or individuals.
The Council of Ministers will have to determine the specific list of goods and services and, if necessary, foreign corporations and individuals the decree applies to.
