The central election commission has accredited 165 international observers for the presidential elections, BelTA has been told in the central election commission.
Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State received relevant certificates on February 14. The group comprises 48 experts. The PA mission is headed by vice-speaker of the State Duma of Russia Sergei Baburin. At a meeting in the central election commission today the PA representatives have stated that they are going to interact and exchange information with all observation missions deployed in Belarus.
The PA observers have already started monitoring the election campaign.
On February 14 the central election commission accredited 50 long-term observers representing the OSCE/ODIHR.
A reminder, earlier the central election commission accredited as international observers 2 officials of the central election commission of Kazakhstan and 65 representatives of the CIS mission.
