Alexander Lukashenko envisages major sport projects

Belarus needs to cross over from chaotic support to large-scale sport projects, said Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko meeting with coaches and sportsmen of the national rhythmic gymnastics team today. “The time of chaotic support has ended. It is time to make the transfer to major projects in gymnastics and all the sports”, stressed the head of state. In his words, serious attention is now paid to creating facilities for training rowers. The President believes, the same needs to be done for gymnasts. Alexander Lukashenko got familiar with development prospects of the sports complex Dynamo. In the near future the place will get a fencing hall, which will be used to train the Belarusian fencing team. There are plans to build new tennis courts, expand the field-and-track manege, build new premises with halls for competitions, a sports medicine centre, a hotel for 150 guests and an underground parking lot. Alexander Lukashenko emphasised, the Dynamo should evolve into a contemporary sport facility.
