GOMEL, 22 March (BelTA) – The Quality Leaders’ Club of Central and Eastern European Countries will hold its session at the Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ trademark) in Zhlobin on 24 March, BelTA learnt from the information office of the company.
Attending the session will be representatives of 15 companies from six countries, prize-winners of the International Quality Tournament of Central and Eastern Europe. The participants of the session will listen to reports, discuss the latest results in enhancing competitive ability of the companies on the domestic and foreign markets and look into the measures for further quality enhancement of products and the club action plan for 2011.
In late 2007 BMZ became the first among the large enterprises of the country to win the International Quality Tournament. The symbolic golden globe inscribed in the pyramid of excellence and a diploma occupy a place of honor on the stand which demonstrates BMZ achievements. According to experts, the status of the award-winning company has played a positive role in expanding partnerships and attracting new customers.
The meeting participants plan to continue to exchange opinions on 25 March at the Institute Gomelproekt, who at one time also won the quality competition among the enterprises of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ) was founded in 1984. The company specializes in cast sections, rolled sections, bar sections and reinforcing bars, metal cord, wire for high-pressure hoses and other kinds of wire. BMZ exports over 85% of the make to 71 countries. The company employs over 12,000 people.
