WWII aerial bombs found at Belarusian Steel Works

GOMEL, 27 August (BelTA) - Aerial bombs of the Great Patriotic War have been found during earthwork operations on the territory of Belarusian Steel Works, BelTA learnt from the Gomel Oblast Department of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry.

As many as 25 items which resembled ammunition were discovered when a 4.5-meter deep trench was being excavated there. Bomb technicians, who were called to the site, said these objects were aerial bombs six of which were made for military exercise. The territory of the site was cordoned off.

Currently the aerial bombs are being disarmed and removed by a mine disarming group of Bobruisk-based military unit No.5527.
