Union State MPs to discuss creation of Belarus-Russia unified transport system

MOSCOW, 9 March (BelTA) – The operation of the Union State transport market will be discussed at a meeting of the Energy and Transport Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Bryansk on 14 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly.

“The MPs will review joint efforts of Belarus and Russia to create the unified transport system of the Union State, as well as the implementation of the Union State programs in transport control and regulation of the transport market,” the press service said. “In addition to that, the parliamentarians will take stock of the preliminary results of the Union State budget execution in 2022,” the press service added.

The meeting will discuss the state and prospects of interregional cooperation, as well as the work to preserve and maintain memorials and war graves in Bryansk Oblast and Gomel Oblast.

Invitations to take part in the meeting were sent to representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, ministries and departments of Belarus and Russia, regional authorities of Bryansk Oblast and Gomel Oblast, heads of transportation enterprises.

During the visit to Bryansk Oblast, members of the Energy and Transport Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly will meet with Bryansk Oblast Governor Alexander Bogomaz, tour local industrial enterprises and visit the Partizanskaya Polyana memorial complex.
