The urban village of Loev is located in the south-east of the Gomel region on the right bank of the Dnieper River, 98 km from the regional center, 60 km from the nearest railway station in Rechitsa.
Loyevsky district is located within the borders of Polesie, adjacent to Braginsky, Rechitsky, Khoiniksky and Gomel districts. In the east, along the Dnieper River and partly along the lower course of the Sozh River, it borders with the Chernihiv region of Ukraine.
Today Loyev is the administrative and economic and cultural center of the district, 11930 people live in Loevsky district.
There are industrial enterprises - PUP "Loyevsky combine of building materials" and KZHUP "Loyevsky raizhilkomkhoz".
Loyevsky district is agricultural. The main specialization is meat and dairy animal husbandry, cultivation of grain crops.
The agro-industrial complex of the district is represented by 5 agricultural organizations and JSC "Loevsky Agrotechnservice".
Loyevsky district is included in the regional tourist project "Golden Ring of Gomel region".
The objects of tourist destination are the museum "Battle for the Dnieper", an observation deck of military equipment, a geological outcrop of ancient lake-marsh deposits in the park area, a merchant's house in the locality of Peredelka.
Loyevshchina has the most beautiful picturesque places. Along the banks of the Dnieper, Sozh, you can relax in the bosom of nature, go fishing and hunting. The green mighty oak forests will surprise you with a variety of mushrooms and berries.
Loyevshchina is the pearl of Polesie! This wonderful land is inhabited by amazing people. Persistent, hardworking farmers, they use any piece of land to grow bread, plant a garden. Lucky hunters, fishermen and mushroom pickers, they wisely and carefully use the gifts of nature so as to further increase the wealth of their native land.
