There is progress in development of Belarus-EU dialogue, Foreign Ministry says

There is some progress in the development of a dialogue between Belarus and the European Union, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Andrei Popov told a news briefing on September 13. According to him, Belarus-EU energy cooperation has been developing – experts have held consultations in this field. There is positive dynamics in the development of trade and economic relations between Belarus and the countries of the European Union, “We are open for the development of these and other areas of mutually beneficial cooperation with the EU,” Andrei Popov said. During recent talks Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valery Voronetsky held in Brussels the Belarusian side put forward several cooperation proposals. “They are still valid,” Andrei Popov said. “Belarus supports the idea of Wider Europe where there will be a place for interaction with all sides concerned,” Andrei Popov said.
