Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.114 on matters of state statistics on 18 April. The document is designed to bring the regulation on the National Statistics Committee into compliance with law No.238-3 of 30 December 2022 and to allow state organizations, which are authorized to keep state statistic records, to use the information system of the National Statistics Committee, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
In line with the decree such organizations will collect initial data by means of the unified information system of state statistics or by using proprietary software, which allows respondents to submit initial statistics data as electronic documents.
In line with the decree state organizations, which report to the National Statistics Committee, will have to ensure the operation and development of information resources (systems), software and hardware solutions, which are necessary for state statistics activities.
Territorial bodies of the state statistics system and authorized organizations have been granted the right to certify hard copies of electronic reports.
