Agricultural companies of the southern and central regions of Belarus which have finished the harvesting campaign will send 350 combine harvesters to help the northern regions, BelTA was told by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuffs Vasily Pavlovsky.
According to the Deputy Minister, such practice helps unite common efforts to harvest grain in a short period of time and with smaller losses. As a rule, high-qualified machine operators are sent to help the neighbours.
Thus, in the near future some 250 combine harvesters will be sent to the Vitebsk oblast – 200 machines by the Grodno and Brest oblasts and 50 – by the agricultural companies of the Minsk oblast.
Though Gomel oblast is ready to send some 100 combine harvesters to Mogilev oblast, the latter plans to complete the harvesting campaign by itself.
The combine harvesters will be sent just after the harvesting campaign is completed in the regions – on August 10-15. Machine operators will be provided with hot meals. Agricultural companies accepting the help should provide combine harvesters with fuel.
