Rechitsapivo to invest over USD 1,4 million to modernization

In 2006 the joint venture Rechitsapivo will invest more than USD 1,4 million to upgrading of its production capacities, BelTA was informed by company’s chief engineer Tamara Razvenkova. This summer a new automated line for bottle production with the total capacity of 4,000 bottles an hour will be installed. Reconstruction of the compressor shop will be continued. It is due to be completed in 2007. All in all, Rechitsapivo will allocate USD 3 million for reconstruction by 2010. Hence, the overall sum of investments to the company’s revamping since 2003 will reach USD 10 million. Now the company’s capacities amount to 5,5 million decalitres. “In 2003-2005 within the first stage of the reconstruction we pumped up the capacities by 1,4 million decalitres. So far, we don’t see any necessity in continuing in this direction. The main efforts will be focused on quality improvement of the beer we make. Let us remind you, today Rechitsapivo produces ten types of beer: light ones Rechitskoye Lebenbir, Rechitskoye Kvarta, Dneprovskoye, Rechitskoye Originalnoye, Rechitskoye Svetloye, Rechitskoye Yantarnoye; dark ones Rechitskoye Porter, Rechitskoye Temnoye, Rechitskoye Yubileinoye, Rechitskoye Khmelnoye. The produce is sold in glass bottles, PET packages, and kegs. In March 2006 the company was the first in Belarus to offer beer in multilayer barrier PET BC (ever fresh). The company uses an English technology, which involves multilayer PET with an active layer ASMOSORB. The latter binds oxygen and protects the content from carbonic acid and ultraviolet radiation. "Beer in such packaging exceeds quality and shelf-life of beer in common plastic packaging. The new packaging parameters are close to those of classic glass bottles", explained the chief engineer. The new packaging will be used to sell almost the entire Rechitsapivo beer range, except for elite Lebenbir and Porter. In 2006 the company plans to produce 3.4 million decalitres of beer, 6 per cent more than in 2005. In January-March Rechitsapivo turned out 595,000 decalitres of the make. The company was commissioned in 1975. In 1996 it was incorporated to be converted into a joint venture with the foreign share equalling 30 per cent in 2000. At present Rechitsapivo employs around 400 people.
