On December 4, president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko presented state awards, the presidential press-service told BelTA. The awards have been conferred on production workers, agrarians, artists, teachers, servicemen, lawyers and state officials.
“Conscientious and selfless work of our people is the most important resource of the country and we will build it up using all possible ways and means,” president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said.
The workers of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, Minsk Computer Engineering Production Association, road-builders, heads and specialists of advanced agricultural companies and representatives of other professions have received state awards.
“You continue the great traditions due to which strong production potential has been built in our country. You develop it and by your highly-qualified and productive work you demonstrate that continuity of labor generations in our republic is not mere words,” the president said addressing the awardees.
Labor is “a powerful factor of economic rise which we have managed to achieve”, Alexander Lukashenko said. The president has thanked the production workers for saving and continuing the traditions of the heroes of labor.
The medals “For Labour Services” and the honorary title “Distinguished Worker of the Agriculture Industry of the Republic of Belarus” have been conferred on executives and specialists of advanced agriculture companies.
The awards have been presented to deputies of the Chamber of Representatives and state officials. According to the president, this is a just recognition of the contribution they make to the formation and development of the national legislation, parliamentarism and in the process of building of the state for people.
In recognition of outstanding services in education and arts, the awards have been presented to teachers and artists. “We are proud of the people who by their creative labour enhance the moral level of people and make Belarus famous”, Alexander Lukashenko.
Among the awardees there were representatives of the Armed Forces of Belarus. The president presented the Order “For Valor” to deputy commander of the 206th air base of the air forces and air defence Lieutenant Colonel Konstantin Yaborov whose professionalism and courage helped prevent an air crash.
“You work in various spheres but you have one thing in common which is responsible attitude to business and great patriotism which is reflected in real deeds, in every-day efforts to make our country develop in a dynamic manner, to make it grow stronger and more prosperous,” the president said addressing the awardees.
