President congratulates military men and veterans on the Defender of the Motherland Day

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the countrymen, military men and veterans of the Armed Forces of Belarus on the Defender of the Motherland Day and the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the presidential press-service told BelTA. “This holiday is manifestation of deep respect and gratitude for all the generations of the Fatherland defenders who have stood up for the freedom of their land. We are uttering the words of special gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War for their feat and courage displayed during the ordeal of the war,” the congratulations run. Alexander Lukashenko has said today Belarus righteously celebrates those who conscientiously and with dignity fulfill their military duty, who create and improve military equipment, who tirelessly hone their skills, and raise the younger generation promoting glorious military traditions of their fathers and grandfathers. “Continuity of generations unites the society and guarantees further progress of the state,” the congratulations read. The president has wished all the defenders of the Motherland happiness, health, well, achievements in labor and service for the benefit of the independent Belarus.
