MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Some 4.069 million tonnes of grain crops, including rapeseed, have already been harvested in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 8 August, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) were harvested from the area of 936,600 hectares, which is 48,9% of the designated area. Some 3.176 million tonnes of grain have been threshed, showing average yields of 33.9 centners per hectare.
Winter rapeseed for grain was cut on 316,200 hectares of land or 96% of the targeted area, with 893,200 tonnes threshed with yields averaging 28.2 centners per hectare.
Flax was pulled from 31,800 hectares, which is 72.8% of the area under this crop.
