MINSK, 31 May (BelTA) – More than 44,000 foreign nationals have visited Belarus since it reopened border for visa waiver arrivals from Lithuania and Latvia on 15 April 2022, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
"For a month and a half since 15 April, 44,375 foreign citizens took advantage of the opportunity to visit Belarus without a visa. Among them there were 29,427 citizens of Lithuania, 4,179 non-citizens and 10,769 citizens of Latvia.
Last weekend, from 27 to 30 May, Belarus hosted 2,828 arrivals: 2,151 citizens of Lithuania, 513 citizens and 164 non-citizens of Latvia," the State Border Committee said.
