Mogilev Plant Strommashina has started to produce equipment for the Loev-based Brickworks (Gomel oblast), BelTA learnt from Vitaly Berezovsky, the deputy director general on marketing and foreign-economic ties department of the plant.
According to him, the plant is being constructed in Loev in line with the Belarusian President’s decree of December 5, 2006 “On setting up of the construction materials-making plant in the town of Loev”. The Mogilev plant won the tender to produce equipment for the Loev company.
In line with the contract, the equipment will be supplied by the end of 2007 and to be launched in the middle of 2008. The plant will produce about 30 million pcs. of bricks per year.
In 2007, Mogilev Plant Strommashina jointly with scientific-technological center Strommash supplied its equipment to produce bricks to Kaliningrad (Russia) and to Timertau (Kazakhstan).
Strommashina is the CIS largest supplier of equipment used to produce construction materials. The company offers automated lines for producing roofing sheets, asbestos pipes, rubberoid, glass-fibre mats, ferroconcrete sleepers for railways as well as brick production equipment. Besides, the company offers over 300 kinds of consumer goods. The make is exported to Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the Baltic states and other countries. In H1 2007, the company increased production by 9% as against the same period last year.
