Gomel Jeweller plant to make gold awards for Belarusian hockey champions

By June 2006 Jeweller Plant (a branch of Gomel-based Kristall manufacturing association) will produce 32 personal gold rings for awarding Belarusian hockey champions – members of Yunost hockey club, head of the plant's marketing service Vladimir Klimanskiy told BelTA. The rings will bear engraved names and surnames of the winners. Each ring weighs around 20 grams. Rings weighing around 40 grams will be made to order of triple champions and club administration. It took four months for Jeweller's specialists to make a unique jewellery product – Belarus President Challenge Cup for hockey champions. According to Vladimir Klimanskiy, the cup is designed as a grace cup made of gold sheets. The manufacturing technology used several novelties such as an alloy of titanium and precious metals to shape the cup's axis. With its oak pedestal the cup weighs 18 kg. For 33 years names of winning teams will be engraved on the cup's sheets. Gomel-based Jeweller plant is the leading Belarusian enterprise in manufacturing products made of precious metals and gems. Since 1991 it has produced 4,500 kinds of jewellery. Thanks to the introduction of 3D modelling the list grows with 60-80 new titles monthly. By 2007 the company plans to manufacture 200 new products monthly.
