FEZ Gomel-Raton signs cooperation agreement with Moscow CCI

The Gomel-Raton free economic zone /FEZ/ has signed a cooperation agreement with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the association of manufacturers and entrepreneurs of South-West district of Moscow, BelTA was informed in the FEZ. The documents were signed during a visit of the Gomel oblast administration and representatives of business circles to Moscow last week. During a visit Gomel-Raton hold a presentation of its investment projects and commercial opportunities. FEZ representatives conducted negotiations with employees of several Moscow firms and manufacturers interested in placing their production facilities in FEZ as well as in the development of business cooperation with Gomel-Raton residents. The talks on prospects of business cooperation were also held during a visit to the exhibition center Expostroi. FEZ Gomel-Raton was set up by presidential decree #93 of March 1998. Now it has 36 companies registered, of them 8 have Russian share in their charter funds. The average number of employees is about 5,400 people. A total of USD 102,9 million worth of investments have been attracted by FEZ residents since the zone’s foundation, of them USD 28.7 million in 2005.
