A draft decree “On some measures of state security” has been submitted for consideration of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA learnt in the presidential press service.
The President instructed to draft the decree when signing the law “On social benefits, rights and guarantees” in action.
Since the law abolishes some social benefits the President ordered the Government to develop a draft decree on targeted social assistance listing the eligibility criteria, the order of providing such assistance and people eligible for the benefits.
According to the presidential press service, the draft decree meets the requirements set by the President and provides guarantees of social security for low-income people.
“Along with that, taking into account great importance of the document, urgent social significance of the issues it regulates and the necessity to cover all the interests of the disadvantaged people, the President did not signed the draft decree but ordered to conduct a session to discuss the state security issues in detail,” the press service stated.
