Chairman of Chernobyl committee Vladimir Tsalko awarded Order of Honor

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has distinguished a number of citizens of the Republic of Belarus with state awards in recognition of their significant contribution to cushioning the impact of the Chernobyl catastrophe. Chairman of the Chernobyl committee under the Council of Ministers of Belarus Vladimir Tsalko has been awarded the Order of Honor, the president’s press-service told BelTA. The Order of Honor has also been conferred on chief of the Borisovichi obstetrical and medical attendant’s station of the Klimovichi central regional hospital, Mogilev oblast, Valentina Glushakova and doctor of the Slavgorod regional hospital, Mogilev oblast, Zoya Suzdaleva. Anatoliy Evdokimovich, interior lieutenant colonel, has been awarded the Order “For the Services to the Motherland” 2nd class. Among the awardees of the medal “For the Distinction in Labor” there are chairman of the Khoiniki regional executive committee Nikolay Sadchenko, chairman of the Narovlya regional executive committee Valeriy Shlyaga, chairman of the Belarusian public association “Invalids of Chernobyl” Vladimir Kamenkov and a number of other persons.
