Beltransgaz pays Gazprom for gas supplied in July in full

Beltransgaz has fully paid for the natural gas supplied to Belarus in July, Beltransgaz spokesman Vladimir Chekov told BelTA. Thus, Beltransgaz transferred $144.7 million to Gazprom. “We have fulfilled our obligations to Gazprom and paid in time,” Vladimir Chekov said. A reminder, on January 1, 2007 the prices for Russian gas grew 2.14 times to $100 per 1,000 cubic meters. In line with the Belarusian-Russian agreements in H1, 2007 Belarus paid 55% of the cost of the Russian gas. In August Belarus repaid Gazprom the debt for the gas supplied in January-June. Now the country pays full price for the gas exported from Russia.
