Beltransgaz has fully paid for the natural gas supplied to Belarus in July, Beltransgaz spokesman Vladimir Chekov told BelTA.
Thus, Beltransgaz transferred $144.7 million to Gazprom. “We have fulfilled our obligations to Gazprom and paid in time,” Vladimir Chekov said.
A reminder, on January 1, 2007 the prices for Russian gas grew 2.14 times to $100 per 1,000 cubic meters. In line with the Belarusian-Russian agreements in H1, 2007 Belarus paid 55% of the cost of the Russian gas. In August Belarus repaid Gazprom the debt for the gas supplied in January-June. Now the country pays full price for the gas exported from Russia.
