Belarus will continue constructing ice palaces in its towns with the population of around 100 thousand people, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said today during a meeting focusing on the participation of a Belarusian ice-hockey team in the Russian national ice-hockey championship.
To date, 10 ice palaces have been constructed in the country. None of them is subsidised by the government; all of them operate on self-repayment schemes, the head of state said. “These are normal projects from economic point of view,” he said.
