Belarus to purchase at least 200 Don combine harvesters

Belarus will purchase at least 200 Don combine harvesters, deputy head of the main plant cultivation department of the ministry of agriculture and foodstuffs Vladimir Kuratnik told reporters on July 27. According to him, a relevant agreement was reached with the producer of these Russian combiners. Now Dons account for one third of the combine harvesters park of Belarus. These machines are very good in harvesting fields with the average crop capacity of 50-60 centners per hectare. Fields with higher crop capacity (70-90 centners per hectare) will be harvested with imported combiners. The ministry stakes on Belarus-made hardware as well. This year 1,520 Belarusian combine harvesters will be purchased. Within next five years the combine harvesters park will be fully renewed with annual purchases of 1,000 Belarusian combiners.
