MINSK, 21 July (BelTA) – The government has prohibited the export of some commodities for a period of three months. The decision is stipulated by the Council of Ministers' resolution No.412 of 19 July 2021, BelTA has learned.
The list of prohibited exports includes wheat flour, spelt wheat flour, coarse-grind buckwheat, dried buckwheat grain, and ready-made meals made of buckwheat regardless of the product's country of origin.
The prohibition does not apply to the humanitarian aid the Belarusian government provides to other countries. Apart from that, it does not apply to international transit shipments that begin and end outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union and to goods, which are subjected to customs procedures in another EAEU member state and are transported in transit via Belarus.
The temporary prohibition also covers goods, which were subjected to customs procedures in Belarus before the resolution came into force and which will be physically moved out of the country after the resolution comes into force.
The resolution comes into force as of the official publication and will stay in effect for three months.
