Belarus has waived the golden share rule. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed relevant decree No.144 on March 4, BelTA was told in the press service of the head of state. The move is expected to help attract foreign investments in the real production sector of Belarus, meet the 2008 economic targets, enhance Belarus’ rating at the international level and protect the rights of investors in the securities market.
