By the end of the year Russia will supply five kits of equipment worth $750,000 for the bird flue diagnostic laboratories of Belarus, Leonid Titov, the director of the research institute of epidemiology and microbiology, told reporters April 17.

On April 15, the second liver transplantation operation was successfully performed in Belarus, Health Minister of Belarus Vasily Zharko told reporters on April 16.
According to him, a 51-year old woman with diagnosis of hepatic cirrhosis had a liver transplantation operation. At present she is well, physicians note.

This year the trade turnover between Belarus and the Moscow oblast is supposed to increase up to $3 billion, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov told media after a session of the working group for cooperation between Belarus and the Moscow oblast held in the town of Dolgoprudny on April 16.
