St. Panteleimon temple to appear in Gomel

A temple of St. Panteleimon, a protector of medics and healers, will be built in Gomel. Representatives of the Gomel Orthodox eparch told BelTA, the temple construction will start following benediction by Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin Aristarkh and a resolution of the city authorities. The temple will take care of medical establishments of the region. It will be placed in the medical campus, which hosts cardiological, oncological, and other dispensaries. The source specified, anyone in need of a prayer is welcome to come to the temple. Priests of the future temple intend to become permanent visitors to city hospitals in order to spiritually aid the ill. The temple construction is supposed to be funded by donations. Belarusbank has already opened an account for the donations.
