Spartak and National Museum of Fine Arts launch joint project “Spadchyna Belarusi”

Gomel-based JSC Spartak and National Museum of Fine Arts of Belarus have launched a joint project on production of chocolate gift boxes “Spadchyna Belarusi” (Belarus’ Heritage), BelTA was informed by Spartak’s sales director Andrei Zhelanov. In his words, the striking peculiarity of “Spadchyna Belarusi” series is its design. Thus, 12 small boxes are fitted inside of a large box featuring Mir Castle and other natural and architectural sights of Belarus. The small boxes are also decorated with similar drawings which were selected by specialists of the National Museum of Fine Arts and confectionery. Production of the first consignment of “Spadchyna Belarusi” was timed to the fourth Belarusian arts festival Mir Castle 2006. Andrei Zhelanov believes that the project is a success. The sales director noted that “Spadchyna Belarusi” is the country’s calling card. The chocolates are perfect take-home gifts for people visiting Belarus. The box weights 920 gram. This week “Spadchyna Belarusi” will be on sale all around the country. Over the five months of the current year Spartak produced 11,800 tons of confectionery and exported 3,700 tons or 33 per cent of them. Founded in 1924 JSC Spartak is now one of the largest confectioneries in Belarus. Its main markets are Belarus, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, the CIS and Baltic States, the Czech Republic and USA.
