Prime minister: GDP grows by 10.2 per cent in January 2006

In January 2006 Belarus GDP grew by 10.2 per cent against January 2005. The industrial output soared by 12.6 per cent. Investments to the fixed capital amounted to Br846 billion, an increase of 35.8 per cent, prime minister Sergei Sidorskiy has reported to the president today. According to the presidential press service, Sergei Sidorskiy emphasized that the overstocking was a seasonal phenomenon and in the near future the sales were bound to boom. On the whole, there are more than 50 per cent of monthly inventory in stock.
