Gomelkhlebprom strikes contract with Canadian company on launching deliveries to Toronto

Gomelkhlebprom has signed a letter of intent on cooperation with the Canadian company Aksvit Canada Ins. on delivery of some kinds of bakery which can be in demand in the Canadian market, the deputy chief of the foreign economic department of the ministry of agriculture and foodstuffs of Belarus, Tamara Usacheva, told BelTA. The Canadian company has been sent the certificates of conformity and quality. According to Tamara Usacheva, a trading office is being created in Toronto which will handle the deliveries of Belarusian foodstuffs to Canada. There are quite a few former compatriots living in Canada therefore the bakery products made of rye flour will be most popular there, Tamara Usacheva says. The Canadian company is also going to purchase in Belarus cookies, spice-cakes, condensed and dried milk, blueberry and cranberry jams.
