Early vote count: Alexander Lukashenko comes first

As of 1 a.m. 20 March, 2006 election commissions of Belarus processed 72.2 per cent of ballot papers. The majority of votes were given to incumbent president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko – 82.3 per cent, the central election commission (CEC) informed.
According to CEC, 5.8 per cent of citizens voted for Alexander Milinkevich, 3.6 per cent – for Sergei Gaidukevich and 2.3 per cent – for Alexander Kazulin.
