Belarusian agrarians to receive 680 MTZ tractors and MAZ trucks under leasing contracts

Belarusian agrarians will receive 680 “Belarus” tractors and 200 MAZ trucks under leasing contracts until the spring harvest, deputy director of the republican association Belagroservice Leonid Drozd told BelTA. According to him, the company agreed with MAZ and MTZ upon the supplies of equipment in accordance with the schedule to send in into service fro the very first days of the harvest. The agrarians will pay for the equipment by means of credits and resources of the republican fund supporting agricultural producers. As a company supplying MTZ tractors and MAZ trucks under leasing contracts, Belagroservice has been allocated Br126,2 billion. But the first installments for the equipment should be paid by the companies themselves. According to Leonid Drozd, this is a modest sum of money – affordable for every business. He has reported that the agrarians have already received 250 tractors. Another 430 will be supplied within 7-10 days. The bulk of the supplies is energy-intensive “Belarus” tractors 1221, 2022, 2522. Leonid Drozd has noted that there are no problems in providing agricultural businesses with MAZ trucks. They are produced taking into account their future operation in the agricultural sphere. On the whole this year agrarians are expected to receive some 1,230 energy-intensive MTZ tractors, 1,000 MAZ tucks, 1,000 various types of ploughs and other sorts of equipment in line with the republican program on providing the agriculture with new Belarusian machines. According to the ministry of agriculture and foodstuffs by the spring harvest agricultural businesses will get 400 ploughs worth of Br12,2 billion, 600 seeding machines worth of Br12 billion, 100 fertilizers worth of Br2,3 billion and other machines. All the equipment is provided under long-term leasing contracts. On the whole some Br1,281 billion has been allocated for agricultural businesses of the republic to purchase new Belarusian equipment. The financial resources have been distributed between the regions of the country thus enabling agricultural businesses to satisfy their needs in equipment.
