Belarus president to start working visit to Russian Federation on January 24

January 24 will see Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko start a working visit to the Russian Federation, the presidential press service told BelTA.
In St Petersburg Alexander Lukashenko will partake in sittings of the Union Supreme State Council and the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community.
The programme of stay includes a range of bilateral meetings with heads of EurAsEC member-states.
The agenda of the Supreme State Council sitting includes preparation of a draft Union State Constitution Act, signing agreements on equal rights of Belarus and Russia citizens, issues related to the Union State budget bill for 2006, fulfilment of a programme of coordinated actions in foreign policy by Union State members in 2004-2005, prolongation of the Union State External Border Accomplishment Programme for 2006. The forthcoming meeting will also see discussions of Supreme State Council resolutions, which were adopted earlier.
The sitting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council scheduled for January 25 will be centred on Uzbekistan accession to EurAsEC, integration of the Central Asian Cooperation Organisation into the Eurasian Economic Community. Several issues on the agenda are related to EurAsEC everyday activities.
