Belarus and Russia prime ministers agree on gas deliveries in 2006

Next year Russia will supply Belarus with 21 billion cubic meters at the price of USD46,68 per 1 thousand cubic meters. The prime ministers of Belarus and Russia have reached such an agreement in the course of the bilateral talks and the sitting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State in Moscow December 19, head of Belarusian government Sergei Sidorskiy told a news briefing. According to him, Gazprom and Beltransgaz have been given relevant orders to prepare necessary documents. Sergei Sidorskiy informed that at present Gazprom is holding talks on these issues. As for the Union State fuel-energy balance for 2020, the Belarusian premier stated that the talks on the issue are nearing completion. First Belarusian vice-premier Vladimir Semashko and minister of industry and energy of Russia Viktor Khristenko were commissioned to address the remained unresolved issues and submit the draft energy balance to the next meeting of the CIS Council of Ministers. Russian premier Mikhail Fradkov added that cooperation between Belarus and Russian in the energy field is confined to defining the volumes of supplies and prices for them. “We are cooperating in joint realization of the resources, in their transportation”, he noted.
