Alexander Lukashenko: village revival to give greater impetus to rehabilitation of Chernobyl regions

The village revival program will give a greater impetus for rehabilitation of the affected regions, the president of Belarus said during a meeting with residents of the Bragin region. He noted that in the next five years Belarus will focus on construction of roads, completion of gasification, social security, improvement of living conditions in villages.
“I visit the affected regions several times a year. Every time I come here I see more positive changes,” the president noted. The most important thing is that people’s outlook is changing; they become more confident in themselves. Alexander Lukashenko took note of positive changes in the Bragin region. “Life is getting back on course,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.
Alexander Lukashenko also mentioned completion of gasification in the region.
“So far you have gasified only three villages and the regional center,” the president noted. Installation of gas pipes in Komarin and other villages needs to be speed up. Alexander Lukashenko instructed the local administration to settle the issue.
