Gomel opens first children’s rehabilitation center

Gomel central children’s clinic #2 has opened a rehabilitation center for children; BelTA was informed by center’s head Elena Lapitskaya. The center has a physiotherapy room, massage room, gym for remedial gymnastics. Soon another gym and thermal medicine room will be opened. The center provides an opportunity to young couples to attend a special course “Young parents’ university”. A separate building will be assigned for a 15-bed hydropathic establishment. Every day more than 80 children undergo treatment in the center. Among them are children with a weak immune system, those suffering from bronchial and vertebral diseases. Medical personnel of the center have been applying own methods of treatment, for example, they are about to introduce a method of treating flat-foot. According to Elena Lapitskaya, the main goal of the center is to prevent children’s diseases and enhance their immune system.
